"And will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, then the Lord will bring offering in righteousness." (Malachi 3: 3)
What do you want to do with your children is to cleanse them as silver is refined, How He does this purification?
First of all we know that God will never do anything without our consent, contrary to what the world thinks, that God helps everyone even though people are living in sin, we Christians know that the Lord gave us free discretion to decide what we want, He left us to follow His word and doing it now depends on us whether we want it or not, a sentence that has many people who want to have a happy life but do not want to know the Word of God that is the Lord Jesus, if they continue like this unfortunately will pay a high price, suffer all eternity.
Those who accept the Lord, and to become their children have the protection of the Creator of heaven and earth, but the Lord wants us to be holy, the word holy means set apart for God, there are many religious people who think that being holy is be different, closed, sad, religious, other then think worse still think that a saint is dead dull image that many people think they can hear and do something.
But the Word of God does not say anything like that who makes us holy is the Lord Himself and not man, people make mistakes because they prefer to read magazines and books worldly than reading the Word of God.
"Because it is written, Be ye holy, for I am holy." (I Peter 1: 16)
The problem is that without holiness no man shall see the Lord, ie without sanctification man goes to hell.
So the man who wants to be sanctified in truth he will be purified, this purification comes from the Lord, as it says in Malachi 3: 3 "and will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver ;...". The man (goldsmith) that purifies the silver does its job sat staring at the fire when the purification of silver, it has to keep his eyes on her the whole time she is on fire. If the silver is left, just a moment too long in the flames, it would be destroyed.
Also at the time of purification or refining silver, one should keep it in the fire where the flames are hottest as to burn away all impurities.
I once was asked a goldsmith:
- "How do you know when the silver is fully refined?".
He replied:
- "Oh, it's easy. When I see my image in it."
